Score 1 – Too Easy

A relationship with no friction at all. Both of you find it easy to make slight changes to your opinions and tastes which puts you both into perfect alignment. The only drawback is that a relationship needs a bit of friction to bring out the best in each other. With you both being so close and harmonic you could both become lazy.

Score 2 – Very Easy

A “best of friends” relationship where the two of you enjoy nothing better than to sit down with a drink and discuss your plans and dreams, have long discussions about your futures. As a couple you enjoy being together and really like each other. You rarely argue for two reasons, firstly because you like each other too much and secondly because an argument seems too heavy a thing to bring up.

Score 3 – Easy

A relationship where each partner has a mutual admiration for the other and both of you are constantly hoping that the good qualities in your partner will rub off on you, i.e. style, sense of humour and confidence. You will only argue when one of you does something the other one doesn’t admire. This, however doesn’t happen very often.

Score 4 – Variable

The relationship where differences of opinion start to creep in. There will be a number of occasions where both of you seem to hold exactly opposite views on how best to do something. This means the relationship seems to go up and down a bit, but that things which are important to you are important to both of you. Both of you tend to share the same weakness which makes it difficult for one to help the other.

Score 5 – Brisk, Workable

Quite a few short, sharp arguments here which are productive and mainly serve the purpose of pointing out the partner’s faults which are then corrected. There is a tremendous amount of understanding with this score. You may not like what the other person does all the time but you can understand why he or she does it. This familiarity means you often accept the other’s shortcomings with a grin and shrug of the shoulders.

Score 6 – Challenging

A relationship where there are more differences in opinion than familiarities and where a system of give and take must be developed if you are to remain at all compatible. You are both however aware of each other’s talents and abilities in areas which you yourself simply could not manage. You will often find yourself defending the strengths of your partner or colleague and this in turn gives your relationship a chance to grow. This can often be a very strong, successful union.

Score 7 – Adjustment Needed

This is a relationship which must never be just left to muddle along as it can never do this. A definite effort must be made to form a relationship and keep it together i.e. “workatit”. Often well worth the effort as you can guide each other through difficult patches and reap the rewards. This is a real long term commitment and not one for the selfish or lazy.

Score 8 – Difficult

A relationship of high involvement where you just cannot ignore each other. This is an encouraging part of a potentially very argumentative relationship. You both feel you are right and basically refuse to do things in any way but the way you choose, feeling that letting the other party decide would be letting them win, and you won’t have that. This highlights two very confident people who are capable of offering each other what they do not have themselves.

Score 9 – Extremely Difficult

Thankfully quite rare. This score basically means that to live harmoniously or work together, one of the pairing simply has to let the other dominate their thoughts and decisions for most of the time. Then every so often, when the dominated party has had enough of simply not being his/herself a massive confrontation takes place and things settle down once more. This can go on and on indefinitely and can be a long lasting relationship. If, however, you do not learn to live without treading on each other the relationship could be destroyed.
